1. The South African Department of Mineral Resources and Energy issued a tender for 2 GW of capacity which allows solar-plus-storage assets to participate.

2. Neoen completed its 50 MW extension of the Hornsdale Power Reserve project.

3. The hybrid project combining Leclanché's 9 MW battery and S4 Energy's 3 MW flywheels started operations in the Netherlands.

4. The US Department of Energy announced that Group14 Technologies has been awarded a 4-million dollars grant after winning the Energy Storage Grand Challenge.

5. New York's Power Authority has begun construction of its 20 MW battery in Franklin County.
